Lacombe County is excited to announce a two-day voluntary farm vehicle safety check event, taking place at our Rainy Creek (April 2) and Tees (April 3) satellite public works shops. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and awareness within our agricultural industry, while also promoting ‘Vision Zero’—a key component of the Lacombe County Traffic Safety Plan.
During the event, Commercial Vehicle Inspectors will conduct comprehensive safety inspections following Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) standards. Participants will receive:
A personalized vehicle inspection report detailing any safety concerns.
Guidance on necessary repairs to ensure compliance.
Answers to questions about electronic logging devices (ELD), load securement, and other transportation regulations, with Peace Officers on-site to assist.
For those operating under a Safety Fitness Certificate, inspection results will be recorded on Carrier Profiles. Please contact CPO Services for further clarification at 403-782-8959.

We welcome you to drop in anytime between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. However, booking in advance is recommended to ensure priority; drop-ins will be accommodated as possible.
For those bringing multiple vehicles, please stagger your arrivals by approximately 20 minutes to facilitate a smooth process.
