Lacombe County is holding a PUBLIC HEARING to hear your input on the proposed QEII West Area Structure Plan!

The lands west of the QEII Highway, west of the City of Lacombe and Town of Blackfalds, represent the most attractive lands for future business industrial and commercial development in the County. This Plan provides a framework for future commercial and business industrial development opportunities at strategic nodes while protecting the agricultural community’s right to continue farming.

In November 2023, the County hosted an initial public meeting to gather community insight in the Plan Area. This feedback was used to create a draft Plan. In March 2024, the County went back to the community with a second public meeting and survey to ask the community what they thought of the draft Plan.

This public hearing represents the third opportunity for the public to provide feedback on the project before Council considers the Plan for final adoption. Your input is valued and encouraged.

Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed bylaw changes will have an opportunity to do so at the Public Hearing.

The Public Hearing will take place on June 13, 2024 at 9:00 AM.

Participate in the public hearing to voice your opinion. There are 3 ways you can provide input!

2️⃣   You can attend and speak virtually through Zoom or by phone

3️⃣   You can provide written comments to Planning Services prior to June 13, 2024.
