The Agroforestry & Woodlot Extension Society (AWES) is non-profit organization with a diverse membership that shares the common goal of encouraging sustainable forest management. Lacombe County is pleased to be co-hosting a webinar with AWES, to share some insight into the benefits of tree planting for wildlife habitat.
Tree-planting is a worthy undertaking that can lead to both long-term and short-term benefits. One such benefit is the advantages it can provide wildlife (especially in the light of increasing habitat fragmentation). These undertakings and projects can assist with shelter, food resource provision, reproductive behavior support, and mobility for our local wildlife.
